My hood release latch is stuck and because of it my hood is always popped. It doesn’t fly open when I drive because the hood latch still works. It just always ready to be opened

Any tips on how to fix this would be great.

 

Obviously the metal shaft behind the black handle has been bent for some reason.

So figure out how to loosen it.
Then straighten the shaft. Perhaps that will solve your problem. Or you could go to a wrecking yard to get a replacement part.

 

Have you checked the cable that goes from the latch to the handle? I bet it's degraded and the cause. Mine Frayed to the point of complete failure... Not the cable.... The OUTSIDE casing. And the metal on the handle can be straightened in a Vise.
