Camshaft Followers Sequence

I have a '95 Maxima. I got my camshaft followers swapped and out of order after an engine rebuild. Can anyone tell me how to get them in order please, or what size follower goes in which slot (like a chart)? I was only getting 125 psi engine compression across the board (min 143 psi for car to start). I bypassed the followers by taking off the camshafts, and the psi jumped to 165 on the piston I checked.

Sounds like you need the Factory Service Manual (FSM) for this task. Free to download. Link in my signature.

I click on your username, I didn't see any link for user manuals.

Look at the bottom of my post. That's my signature. I provide a link to the FSM that says "click me".

The FSM barely mentions the valve lifters, nothing about arrangement or lash measurements which I think is my problem. Thanks anyway.

Did you look in the Engine section? I find that the FSM is extremely thorough and spells everything out. Hard to believe the info isn't there, but I believe you. If I have some time later, I'll look too.
