Windows opening atomatically

Is this only me, or does your OEM alarm open windows when you hold the openning door button for a longer time? I just got the OEM remote so I might be not up to date, but when I hold my open button on the remote the windows slide down.

Your remote is possesed!

haha ... j/k ... it's not just you. And we aren't like the Jetta and Audi suckers who have to walk up to their car to lower their windows... hahahaha!

It has draw backs though. Many atimes the button accidently gets held down while in my pocket, so the windows roll down without me know. Usually not that bad. Sucked the most when it was raining out.

Any idea how tough it is to rig it up to make the m go back up? Would it still use the stock remote?

Are you guys serious? I never heard about this windows rolling down thing.. I just tried it on my 98 SE and all that happened when I held down my open doors button was the alarm went off.. Do all factory alarm systems have this feature?

can somebody confirm that the windows can really be rolled down with the remote? I have two buttons on mine, the big one just locks/unlocks the doors, the small one doesn't do much.. How do I make the windows roll down? Thanks

Press and hold down the door unlock button on the OEM key fob and your front driver & passenger side windows will drop. -& for those who continue to ask if this really works, I suggest getting to know your car a little better = r.t.f.m!

Mine doesn't work.. My remote came with the car when we bought it new, and it has one large and one small button, both without labels.. Is this the factory remote? I just wanna see if I can roll my windows down remotely, dammit

And all that happens when I hold down the unlock button is the alarm goes off. Help!

Hmm. . .not sure what to make of that, but mine's a '95. Maybe the '98 OEM remote fob is different? Anyone w/ a '98 care to comment?

(Does it say "Nissan" somewhere on the remote? It should if it's OEM.)

I have 4 buttons on my '95 OEM key fob remote:

1) lock/panic
2) unlock/remote window drop
3) trunk remote release
4) dome-light

Windows roll down.....

The module you are looking for is called the 530T made by DEI. (Directed.com)Check your local car stereo/security store that carries the Viper brand alarms. They can help you out.
