Cooling fans

Cooling fans

Read thru a bunch of posts but haven’t seen the specific question.

do both cooling fans run all the time? Drivers side comes on with A/C Haven’t seen passenger side come on yet. Temp gauge is whack but according to Scangauge coolant temp reached 185

Yes, if the temp is high. In case if AC is ON (with auto control just one fan is running for low temp. For AC OFF - no fun running for low temp.
I would check the temp sensor connector and replace it for a new one.
The thermostat should be replaced if it is old (it may be not open completely - the coolant pressure in the thermostat hose will be high and the radiator leak may be possible).
Check the fan motor/ voltage on it. Swap the relays to check if any change.
