Bose FM/AM button falling off

The FM/AM button my bose headunit is falling off. It still works but its not attached at the top and is hanging off. How can I fix this? I was thinking about glueing it or something but wasn't sure if that could damage the headunit.

The button has one side that has a little hinge, and the other side has tabs to keep it from comming out of the face plate. I can't really explain it any other way. To see if you can fix it; remove the radio. You'll have to remove the center console to get to this (do a search or use your manual for instructions). Once you have the radio out you can remove the front face plate by unlatching a couple of plastic tabs. Do this over a flat area w/ good visibility so you don't lose anything. Once you have the face plate off you'll see a lot of clear hard plastic, remove this from the face plate to gain access to the backs of the buttons. Once you see the backs of the buttons you should see whether or not you can fix it. I would suspect either the hinge broke off, or the tabs that secure the other end broke off - SO, i would look for those little black peices of plastic when I took the radio apart. Maybe you can superglue it back together. Good luck.

The button fell off now and it looks like nothing is broken on the back. The hinge and tabs are all there. I've tried pushing it back in but can only get the bottom hinge to connect.

You've got to remove the radio and install the button from behind. Maybe the clip inside the radio that accepts the hinge is broken. Again, good luck.

Where do I start. The 3 and 5 preset button fall off all the time and the tape eject button is gone. If the Am/Fm button comes off I am driving by the local Nissan dealership and throwing it in there entrance, or should I ship it collect to Clarion
