Ok I see your new to this. Try searching, put compression ratio into the search and see what you get.

Building? What do you mean? New pistons? Block? TB?

Again try searching.. it will yeild some of the answers you need.

Without knowing some of your basic ideas it is hard to help you. Also what year is your max. Depending on what you have some ECU work can work wonders too.

well, the compression ratio is 10:1

if you actually are serious about rebuilding a maxima engine, you could always look into getting a vq35 also, what kind of build you do also depends on if you are going to run boost, or just go n/a...

I will want it to be NA. But can a 3.5L engine fit into lets say a 97 max engine bay?

If you're going to tap into the heart of the vq30, just put the 35 in there, no tapping into, but fitment problems may be quite a concern. GOOD LUCK!! I've always wanted to see this be done, hehe, it would be kewl.

Nobody (at least on the forum) has attempted it yet. So give it a shot and ask around I'm sure you will find someone.

Anything is possible with $$$$$

Show me the money!!! That's what your local speed shop is going to say. Speed cost money, how much do you want to spend?

Lets say I would wont to keep the 3.0L engine and bring its power up to about 250hp without rasing the compression ratio. I want to keep it at 10:1. If I could only find a shop thats in NYC or in Middle or Upper NJ that can do this. How much you think this is going to cost me?
