Launching a Maxima help ! need to win race!

Anyone know how to launch a 97 Auto Maxima. There are a few ways I thought of.

1- Transmission Safe- Just floor the pedal, let it go around 50 and floor it again for better pull.
2- Hold the brakes and acceleration till you get to 2-3 rpm’s then let go.
3- Put it in Drive one, while holding breaks. Let go of the brakes, floor the pedal around 20 go to drive 2 then around 40 go to drive all this while holding the acceleration.

Need help for the fastest launch.

Yeah I've been trying that technique lately and it works much better than just flooring the pedal. I just hold the brakes and rev to about 1.5-2k rpm and then as soon as the light turns green, let go of brake and floor pedal. You will launch like a rocket with minimum wheelspin.

Yea, I figured that was the best. How about the switching drive 1 to 2 too drive method.

Not worth it. I ran at the track. Once using this method and once just flooring it.

Ran the same times.

I used to do that when I got my car in the beginning but then everybody said it's really bad for your transmission so I stopped doing it. I don't think it makes much difference, and oh yea I forgot to mention have OD off before you launch (I don't know if that makes a difference either but I read it somewhere and that's how I drag).

Maybe a little more fun but the gains are minimal if any and it only increases your chances of messing up

Put the trans in neutral, rev the engine to 4500-6500 rpms then through it in drive, but make sure you have an extra trans handy.
(I'm kidding, don't do this!)

Nothing wrong with a good old neutral drop.

Unless you like driving it still.
