I just installed my PR CAI on Sunday. So far I like it a lot. It came with the new Monster Filter which despite being foam, seems pretty good so far. It does look lower in quality than a K&N and one day I may try the K&N to see the difference. Basically, besides the sweet sound that it makes, I feel more power in the 4.5-5.5k RPM range. I'm automagic, so it's nice. I get on the freeway and punch it and when I get into that range I can feel the extra power and have to really hold the car planted and straight because the pull is really amazing. Today I drove 100 miles at high speeds (80+) most of the way and it felt pretty good, I wasn't going for a land speed record. It was a little noisier than usual, and there was a little more vibration in the steering wheel and gas pedal, but it's just enought to let you know the power is there.

Unfortunately, I drive that stretch about twice a week and I'm not sure yet, but it does feel like I'm lacking a little something on that upper end. But the rest of the time, getting on and off freeways and pulling quick from a light is great.
Just my $0.02.
thats exactly what I felt. the RPMs went up faster when I had the hybrid setup. now with cai, Its good low speed power but when flooring it at a 60mph roll, it didnt feel as strong.
btw I replaces the foam back to my old cotton filter. didnt notice any difference other thatn its a lil louder now.

Obviously each car is different and conditions will be different, but we still may be able to physically see where each intake works best when so that people may be able to decide what they want to do with their car.
Here's before and after dynos of a 97 Stock vs. JWT Pop and Stillen Y. Looks like it was on two different machines though.

We are not worthy to be on the same forum with the FAMILY SEDAN MANUAL TRANSMISSION guys. I feel so inadequate I am going to start putting my car in neutral at the stop lights so folks will start to think I am somebody. I didn't have an inferiority complex till I joined this forum.

Where is NightRider or Papasmurf? You guys should see/hear the intake papasmurf has, that thing sounds amazing, you should feel the pull of it... Supposedly it has no low/high end losses, strong throughout... sounds amazing. Once it's available i'll definately try it out!
Im right here just ben real busy, heres a picture of my intake.
