I noticed in the Hayne's Manual that it says ABS came standard on all Maxima's 97 and newer. I have a 97 SE, but I'm pretty sure I don't have ABS. Was this just a typo? Maybe it should have said 98 and newer? Also, did Nissan number any Maxima's. My 97 has a red plate with numbers on it on the driver side front windshield. Any ideas?

 

ABS was only standard on the 5th Gen...
Your ABS light would light up when you first start the car if you had it.
