Y-PIPE UltimatuM..read this

i am interesting in buying a y-pipe and ive done some research- anyone who is thinking about getting the best power for your money go BUDGET all the way. I've heard very few problems and the only reason STILLEn and CATTMAN is expensive is that they slap their name on - they dont even make their own pipes! if anything warpspeed is good for the price but i heard aluminized doesnt last compared to SS, which budgetexhaust.com sells for 175 shipped! the reason the price is low is beacuse, get this: THE CURRENCY DIFFERENCE! thats it! in canadian $ 175= around 300 so dont think you guys are getting some cheap old thing. so theres my .02 and i think ill go budget!

anyone care to respond?

note- mandrel only gains 2 hp IF even that. just think if you put a non mandrel and a mandrel on your car would u feel teh difference.- unless u are the fast and furious type its not worth the $50 + shipping costs

I just ordered mine today (birthday gift from my girl). This has been discussed several times and I came to the decision of getting the WSP Aluminized, just because I haven't heard any complaints about it. I did hear complaints about Budget having "bees in a can" sound.

Oh NO, Ben's getting a Y-Pipe. When I come back for break it's on. Mark it on your calendar, March 1.

I have a Cattman by the way, and for the record, there is no Cattman name or logo at all on the pipe.

Yea, I'm finally getting one so I can keep up with most of you guys. Hmm, if we go at it, it might be a good little race, but then again with my 18's and you having the RT cat, you'll probably come out on top.

Re: Y-PIPE UltimatuM..read this

Um, Cattman does make his Y-Pipes. Well, he doesn't physically do the welding himself, but he does the prototyping and then he pays people to do the welding for him. That's how a business works... And for some of us, the mandrel bent pipes are worth it. But everybody seems to be happy w/ the budget, so go for it I guess. Just don't post inaccuracies about other companies that you know nothing about. Brian is a friend of mine, and I know how his pipes are made, who told you that he just buys them from someone else?

I'll second that there is no name on my Cattman. The only marking at all is the marking that indicates stainless steel. And Since the whole pipe will only yield 5-15 hp, I'll take those two that the mandrel bends yield, thank you.
