The VQ can take a beating as far as overheating

my water pump was broken back in the day and it overheated at least 20 different times, usually not more than just a few seconds and not above the 3/4 marks... but.... a few times it was pegged out for over a few minutes, probably 3-4 times that i can remember. anyway, i was just thinking about that and now i am impressed.

I'm thinking I should not buy this car from you if you ever decide to sell. WTH are you asking about all these damn mods if you can't manage to get your water pump fixed?

I think Justin is interested in how much abuse a Max can take. Maybe that's why he's getting N2O and keeps asking about clutches

N20 sounds like it will be the death of his engine. I mean if you wanna let your engine overheat repeatedly and then stick N20 in there have fun. But dont come complaining later.

Say goodby to your head gaskets and that's not to be sarcastic either. You WILL be burning antifreeze and oil within the next couple years.

Ain't that the truth. My temp gauge has never ever gone over the halfway mark. Even in a crazy NYC humid summer, stuck in mid-day traffic, 95F outside, so hot the asphalt is gooey, AC blasting my interior, and my temp gage stayed right there at mid-point

FYI another added benefit for using synthetic oil, or even semi-synth as I do, makes your temp gage drop down just a wee bit from dead center.

Kind of comes under the heading, "I'll wait for that light to get brighter before I take it to get fixed".
