I like a little of both, but i'm getting more power/handling hungry lately.

 

I like both too, but I don't put anything on my car that will compromise performance. I like that subtle sleeper look that packs a 10lb sledge at the track........for a NA V6 grocery getter.

I say go. I'm not modding my car for other people to enjoy looking at it. I'm modding it for me to enjoy driving it.

As for girls, I have one. Also, if you have a girl that was first attracted to your car...what kind of looser is she?

 

i would go for show .... if you're not going to race your car you don't need to get it all done up with a SC and all that stuff .. just make it look and sound phat and the girls will come

go with a healthy mix of both. we all know how nice it is to come and see your shiny, hooked up max in the morning, but we all also know how nice it is to beat a guy in a race...what do YOU like more?

 

I could have a tight looking max, but then I'd feel like an *** when some modded Accord comes up and roadkills me because I don't have what it takes under the hood. Then again, I could have a nasty fast sleeper, and I'd know that I could take that camaro I'm pulling up next to, but he just laughs at me because he thinks my max is a family car. Summary: Gotta have both! Sadly I can't afford to add much of either.

i agree with cumalot......the automagic is making me aim more towards show - when it comes to "go" - y pipe, popcharger and b pipe are the most that i will go

i'm going for show b/c you can show it off 24/7
on the other hand you only use go when your racing, and that's only once in a while. i rather spend money on something that will be in use at all times.

by the way a lot of us don't need show to get girls, but it sure helps.

couldnt of said it better friend. i got no problem with show, ill do that after ALL performance mods are done(itll be a while $), but you cant be any more unequipped down in the mid section if your tryin to get girls with ur car, look for the girl who gets off from you not the vibrating bass in ur trunk.

If your car looks stock and LOOKS slow then usually most people wont think about racing you. If you pull up next to someone lookin like crap and rev ya engine they are gonna laugh, in cases ive seen anyway. Make your car look appropriate first then make it perform better.
Also unless you go to the track all the time, all the speed mods are not necessary, when you get ya 3rd speeding ticket and yur insurance cancelled for the 2nd time you will see that u wasted alot of money makin ya car go faster cuz now u gotta take it 10mph @ a time. DOnt forget getting into an accident and killin yourself or WORSE killin someone else.

 

So how about when you get your car all prettied up, you go rev on someone. And he wipes the floor with you. He'll be laughing then too.

And who says putting on all speed mods will get you speeding tickets? Being fast and being reckless are two different things.

 

Speeding is speeding... and if your smart u wouldnt go revving up on someone if you no u cant back it up. when u go looks just chill and take it slow.
Clee you out of everyone should realize that speeding isnt WORTH IT.

my car isnt that fast yet, but ticket count=0 (knock on wood)

plus im 17(should be a wreckless driver according to stats) and have a 5 speed(all the more reason to speed), so if i can try to do it in a safe way, all you older guys can have fun and be thinkin straight at the same time.

 

I'm not into going to the track, but I like speed. Along the lines of the Supra comment earlier, if you really want a fast car, go get an Audi S4 and put $1700 into it and you easily have a 0-60 in 5 flat kinda car. I'm not about losing a race, but I'm willing to sacrifice it for some killer 18's. I'm even willing to go as far as 18" Momo Arrows if I can find/afford them, just because they look so damned good. Most people on this board wouldn't be caught dead in wheels that heavy. Whilst I like speed, the Maxima would need a lot of work/money to become a "5 flat" car. An lets face it, in the world of non-planned, sporatic street racing from a red light, 0-60 is what really matters. I rarely race people to anything past 60 because I don't need the ticket.
You all just wait until I get my STOCK 96 collector's edition 6 speed Corvette that will wipe you up Of course I'll keep the Max, but strictly for show

 

Id love to get both, but since its out of my budjet im going to have to start with show, maximas look tight fixed up and can't easly be tuned to haul a** unless you got alot of $$$.
