4th gen springs questions
OK, i have a 97SE and here are my questions:
1) With the SE package, what is the "sport" suspension? Spring rates?...etc?
2) Do the Maximas benefit from progressive rate springs for handling and ride?
3) Are most of the Low cost lowering springs out there specific rate?
4) Wasn't there a brand of springs from "B&G"? Any insight on these?
Thanks all: e3 - spamman

2. You mean like upgrading the springs for better handling? Yes. Along with some good struts.
3. You might wanna look on the sites on those companies for the rates, they would have better info.
4. Yeah there still are. Depending on what kind of ride your looking for these are softer that some other companies.

Thanks for the reply.
1) So the stock ones are stiffer, but are they specific or progressive?
2) What I meant was, do the maximas work better with specific or progressive?
3) Thanks.
4) I have heard of them and also found a set of new springs in a magazine, hot compact and import, for like 119$ for all 4.....

hello:
The GXE model uses 200LB/IN springs at all 4 corners. These are linear rate springs.
The SE model uses 250LB/IN springs at all 4 corners. These are linear rate.
Eibach pro-kits are 150-250LB/IN progressive in the front and
150LB-350LB/IN progressive in the rear.
I don't know the H&R spring rates...
I called them today and they didn't give me the information.
But anybody with a spring tester can find out that information and pass it on to the whole world via the Internet. So I don't see why it would be proprietary information.
later..
