I beat a newer Jetta 1.8T today. We were sitting at a light and I looked over because he was revving his engine, he didnt even look old enough to be driving so im sure he just turned 16 and was driving a car daddy bought him, but anyway I beat him by about 2 cars to 80. Take Care

 

PR CAI, Stillen Y, RT Cat - 2001 Eclipse GT Spyder, early 90's RX7, so many civics and integras its not funny, preludes, V6 mustangs.

PR CAI, Stillen Y, RT Cat, Dual cat-back - Celica GT-S (flame all you want, it happened) early 90's supra, Impreza 2.5 RS, Integra Type R, lotsa civics and accords.

Losses - 2001 Mustang GT(VERY modified, he killed me), '69 Mach 1 mustang, 2001 corvette.

P.S. The VB is pretty easy if you have 2 ppl.

 

RIght on, how long do you think it will take to get the VB off? And then back on?

 

It's been so long since I had a good street race. I can't even remember the last one. But, I dont make a habit of picking on cars that will beat me.

 

VB off(if tranny fluid is cool) = an hour or so.

VB off (if tranny fluid is hot) = 2-4 hours, even with putting water on it to cool it off.

VB on = 45-60 min.

Its really not that complicated, you just need jackstands, a jack, 2 ppl, 6-8 quarts of tranny fluid and brake cleaner.

kills: 97 gsr from 20-80 beat him by a car i was stock
02 mustang v6 with straight pipes 0-60 i won by a car had CAI
loses: 97 gsr 0-60 lost by maybe half a car with my CAI
only had my car a couple months now hopefully i will be able to have some kills soon.

02 VW Passat or Jetta with exhaust and intake 0-40 (really bad start)... so humiliating

2001 Gran Prix GT - from a 20mph roll (slowly pulled away)
95 Modded Maxima GLE - roll from about 50 (even until we hit 90, then I got left)

00 Trans Am 1/4 mi flew past me after 80mph, he had a bad launch
97 California Highway Patrol Car chased me down at 127mph, but then i wasn't trying to race

most of the 100mph+ races were conducted on Highway 5 or 580 between San Francisco and Los Angeles

thats about all i can remember for now. My goal for my max is to turn all those losses into wins.. if i ever get the $$$ to do it.
