fidanza flywheel on 95 max

hey guys, i was wondering if any of you have had any experience with the fidanza flywheels. they say they only apply to the 99-00 models but i've talked to a few guys and they said it should fit on a 95. i know they didn't change the engine from 95 to 99 so i'm thinking it should work. i just want to make sure that the part will fit before i order it. thanks for the help. later on.

Re: Re: fidanza flywheel on 95 max

yeah i have a 95 se 5spd. so would the flywheel fit on my car? i would go with stillen but his flywheel goes for upwards of $550. $370 vs $550 and i'm not sure what the OEM flywheel runs for. but i had my stock flywheel machined and the dealer said it was getting hotspots on it because of my clutch (ACT street clutch). i'd rather not have to worry about that happening again. thanks again.

no..the fidanza will not fit on your Max The bolt offsets are different on the 95 max than the 99. I have a 95 Max 5 spd. and went the same route. The other alternative which i did was go to unorthadox racing. May I emphasize: THEY HAVE THE LIGHTEST FLYWHEEL, 5 pounds!!!! And its not as expensive or nearly the weight of STILLENS flywheel. Go with unorthadox...I did with an ACT clutch..
the car runs MUCH smoother and it feels like a new car! GOOD LUCK!

If you go through unorthadox themselves, its gonna cost you about $600. I went through a distributor called "DARKSIDE MOTORING" of Chatsworth CA. It ran me like $450 I think through them. But theres one thing u got to know about the unorthadox flywheel , not sure is STILLEN'S flywheel is the same, but u have to take it to a machine shop to get the old teeth of your OEM flywheel put on your new one. Thats cost me like $75 bucks right there, but it was worth it because unorthadox's flywheel weights nearly have of STILLEN'S, so it's up to you. GL
