Needed Repairs - Suggestions or Comments needed

These are repairs that I have planned in this order.....

1.Alternator Rebuilt from Pepboys w/ Lifetime Warranty

2.Brake Pads and Possibly Rotors - Portersfield or OEM Pads and Slotted or X-Drilled or Both

3.Hayden Transmission Cooler

4.Don's VB Modification - My car shifts and downshifts kinda jerky and weird. will a VB mod fix this problem

5.Timing Cover Oil Seal - Dealer quoted me for 1200

6. Springs and Struts - Pending

I would say do the repairs before the modifications. Mods tend to add more problems than they fix. As for the jerky transmission, try a transmission fluid flush, should cost around $100 or less at Jiffy Lube (they call it the T-tech service).

Flushing the ATF will take away the jerkyness in down and up shifting? Can this be done myself? What would I need or would you recomend for the best performance??? How about slugish shifting will that help it a little or none at all????
