Two of my friends talk a lot of **** and i think they can beat me so what the deal... first car is a 2k max...all i have for engine mods on my 98 se other than exterior is fstb, i will have cai but only after turkey day...so will i beat him with just stock engine? second car is the problem...two brothers i go to school with own saab 9-5s... the one is a 99 with only like 170 hp...i beat him but the other brother just got the 9-5 aero 2001 which has a lot more horses and 17" rims, the whole nine yards all factory... so my question is will these two beat me?? all automatic cars thanks appreciate input...

 

The Saab 9-5 Aero has a 2.3 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. I believe the output is anywhere from 230-240HP, so you probably don't have a chance.

 

All right the 2K Max Vs your 98Max will be real close but I would give a slight edge to the 2KMax.Now the Saab you better watch out since you have a Auto max it is doing 0-60 in about 7.9 and the Saab is doing it in only 7.0.The Saab has 230HP.

 

Tie the 2k max -maybe beat by a hair- and tie the 4 banger Saab. careful -You may pull ahead at first but when the turbo kicks in the Swed will rocket on.

 

remember the 2k Maxima got 32 more hp..
however i still wonder where they went since the official time is slower...(8.3 for the 2k and 7.9 for the 4th gen)
so that will be really close....in the end you probably will lose since the 2k got more hp at higher rpms.

if you had a 5m you could beat the Saab Aero....but with that 4a the best you could do is maybe 7.9
but as VQ Quick pointed out...once that turbo kicks in..you are toast....

Maxima vs. Maxima... driver dependent, 2k has an edge most likely IF the tranny shifts at redline. If not, you may have the edge.

Saab 9-5 Aero is 230hp and 243lb-ft of torque (and LOTS of it...).... you'd almost certainly lose, because 20psi of boost is nothing to sneeze at!
