Removing door moldings...

I think the car would look a lot better with the moldings taken off, like I saw on jeffs car etc...I know on my older 92 se I had it was simply glue which came off with some goo gone and heat, what about our 4th gens? Can I simply take them off with lets say a heat gun or something and a bottle of goo gone or are there screws or something else I should be aware of. Thanks,

Mike

You talking about the moldings on the door, about knee-high? Supposedly with holes, see the thread above. I still have mine, so I can't vouch for the truthness of the thread, but I think the .org members who replied are pretty credible. My 0.02

K i have a 95 max. People say i can't take it off because there would be holes. My side modling is craked because some girl kicked it. How is a replacemeent for the passenger side modling? Are they better looking moldings like chrome? Help please.......
