Bose Speakers

All 4th generation Bose systems are the same, aren't they?

95-96 and 97-99 are different headunits, also the speakers for the 95-96 are paper while the 97-99 are not.

Well, will it fit and sound the same if I put a 97 speaker in a 95 Max?

oh yeah, as to why... I have a busted speaker in my car and need a new one, and found one on ebay.. except it's from a 97 SE.. I just wanted to make sure before I bought it

Well, the 95 speakers have a little more thump to them IMO, I swapped out my 95 BOSE speakers because they ripped due to the heat. These speakers sound a lot chrisper then the original but they do the job just as good.

MY old ones are in the last pic.

The newer speakers are pure black and are not plastic, this is the 95 style speakers.

The amps are interchangable dont worry about those, they may be pricey if you need one...

Dont worry I blew 3 out of 6 of mine, they just went one after another then I had a little help obtaining new ones and Im bumping again. No more full bass for me...

ya gotta keep the bass flowin all the time!!

my bose system is always on full bass when i'm listenin to rap...of course the system doesn't have as good bass output as it should, but still good enough

NO NO, I went through the main speakers (RF, RR, LR) all blew out one after another literally!

LOL... that's funny. I had a 91 240SX before the Max and had to buy 6 new speakers because I kept blowing the back ones.. they were Memphis speakers .. didn't hold up very well.. lol

Speaking of that, my brother just bought a 95 240sx and the rear speakers blew out, we brought it to the dealer(warranty) and they put some garbage radioshack speakers in there that cost $8/ea and took the expensive clarions out! My brother replaced those and while replacing it was sooo funny seeing how the "bubble" in the middle of the speaker was just a piece of paper!

lol.. i popped one of the bubbles by accident in the old speakers.. lol.. talk about paper.. that system (if you wanna call it that) sucked ***
