possible throtle body problem

I'm having a problem with my car and my thoughts are it's my throtle body intake. Let see if i can explain this and hopefully someone will know what I mean.
When I'm driving in first, 2nd or third gear (manual trans) at a low rpm (say under 2500) if I am holding the gas bearly on while crusing the car is fine but if I just let the gas go it feels like the car jerks and like the gas to the acceleraor cuts off. then if i hit the gas slightly the car jerks a little again. could there is an adjustment i can make to make the accelarator smoother when i just need a little gas.
Does this make sense to anyone else? i did try to tighten and loosen the throtle cable to see if that makes a difference. but no dice.
I do have a CAI but this is something that started up recently and I've had the CAI on for 2 years now. BTW, I have a 99 SE 5 speed.

Thanks.

yeah you could try tightening up the throttle cable.. but I think the jerking might be normal, my maxima does the same thing in low gears (1 and 2), I think it has to do with the transmission..

If I'm in first gear, and i suddenly let go of the gas, but leave the car in first, it will rock back and forth.. same thing with second, but not as much..

is it all 5 speeds?

Now that hopefully more people have the problem, is there a way to correct it? I find it very annoying. I cleaned my throtle body and that just increased my rpms at idle. Maybe I'll disconnect my battery for over two hours today to see if that will reset the computer and maybe it will correct something.
Anyone else do this?
Is this just a problem that every 5 speed will encounter?

thanks

Re: is it all 5 speeds?

I have an auto and i have the dame problem at about 3rd gear and 4th gear. I should clean out my throttle body b/c i have 110,000 miles. But my main question is that if i do leave my battery unconnected for a day or two, will that reset a lot of stuff. Because my trany has been reeally sluggish lately, especially when i pin it, it slipps a lot!!so will the battery thing help all my probs.

if you guys are 4th gens. Just reset the ecu with a screwdriver, and I was told you have to disconnect the negative terminal overnight or really long period of time
