Fed/Cali spec ??
How can you tell if you car is Fed/Cali spec???...Does it matter when buying a Y-pipe ???
Can you put on a cali spec on a fed spec car ?? newbie question sorry

Do a search. It can be found by looking at one of the numbers/characters on the VIN # plate. Don't remember which one, but I'm sure you can find it in a search.

Check the sticker on the underside of the hood.

Open the hood and look right in front of the valve cover. If you have 4 connectors hanging there, it's a cali spec. 2 connectors means it's a fed spec.

On mine you will find a white sticker under the hood. Read it, it either mentions meeting all california laws or all state ones. Whcihever it says you have.
