Check this out.. HELP...

My friend works at an auto repair shop, and he said they do exhaust. He said he could get a cat-back under my car with a flowmaster muffler and polished tip for $70 and a case of beer. This is a great deal. Only thing is that the piping will be crimp(compression) bent???
Will this make a big difference?
How are the flowmaster mufflers?
Is anyone using one?

I was quoted by an exhaust shop for the same setup to be $260

What size piping should I use?
What size tip should I get? 4 inch? 3.5 inch?

Thanks for the help,
Ted

4" Tip will look good, on the border of ricey but good. 3.5" is always good. FlowMasters are very good and popular mufflers, most over $100 each alone. The piping will be pressure bent, which is the normal way as mandrel bending is rare and typically a little more expensive. There is nothing wrong with pressure bending, you will not lose power but not gain as much as with mandrel bending. This type of setup will normally run around $300 so you are getting a steal. I say to jump on it.

What about noise?
By the time I get this done I will have my WSP y installed, and I already have a high flow cone filter.

Thanks,
Ted
