Its On Like Pp Ppp Pop Popcorn Drag Time

Im going to the Renolds drag strip saturday in Georgia at 7:30p (I think well I dont know were it is Im following my friends) this is the first time I will drag the max. I will be racing some of my friends and i need some advice. I did use search and I found that I should cut off my a/c, take out the spare and any unnessesary weight and to launch, hold the rev at about 1500-1600rpms. Any other suggestions?? Also I will be racing a 300zx N/A, a Integra Type R, a crx with a gsr swap, and a crx with none v-tech integra swap. The crx's should be no contest.... I hope. They said they would blow there cars up before I beat them (I been talkin alot of *@#$&) I know the Type R may beat me it has an cai intake and catback but what about the N/A 300zx the only mod it has is a light flywheel? Finally what do you think my time will be for my first drag. I have a 5sp a JWT intake and muffler.

All I can say is if you're 5-speed, it's more about the driver than the car - the first time at the tree.

Launch RPM depends on a lot of variables: tire type, track conditions, etc. Try to find a safe environment to practice a few agressive launches before the big day. Launch & R/T are the two most critical things to focus on your first time.

Have a Blaaaaaaaaaaast!

RT doesn't factor into your ET at all, it can just make you look like an amature if you are cutting 1 second lights haha.
