99 max overspray please help

I have a 99 maxima SE. I took the car in for the 30000 mile service
and one of the employees asked me if my car has been in an accident
because the car has white over spray on the under carriage.
I asked about it and and they said that some cars had the overspray from the factory.
Does anybody know if this is true.
I purchased the car new and to be honest i have never looked under the car.
If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hmm...

What part was he talking about? If it's the muffler that's how it was painted. Nothing else of my underbody is painted though. As hockeyghst said have you ever been in an accident? If so then this is how.

You may have even driven through paint. My friend ddi it once and his whole underbody was covered with green.
