Sorry about posting such a dumb question, but i lost my owners manual, and I haven't bought a repair manual yet so.... What are the things I need to do for 60k tune up?
Thanks

I personally would do..
Oil/Transmission Fluid Change
Spark Plugs & Wires
Timing Belt
Fuel Filter
Radiator Service
Air Filter (That's if you still have factory airbox)
Check Hoses
Check Battery
Tighten throttle cable

This is what i would do, that is what we did at Jiffy Lube when i use to work there.... everything except for the throttle cable.

Your signature identifies you as the owner of a '97 Maxima. You may obtain a new Owner's Manual directly from Nissan at no charge. The following paragraph was copied directly from the Owner's Area of the Nissan USA web site.

The Nissan owner’s manual has valuable model-specific details on the day-to-day use and care of your car, as well as recommended maintenance intervals. If you’ve lost or misplaced your manual, just call 1-800-247-5321 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. eastern time, Monday through Friday. There is no charge for 1999, 1998 or 1997 manuals, however, there is a $12.00 charge for owners manuals prior to the 1997 models.

The only "real" work done at 60K is replacement of engine oil, oil filter, air filter, and spark plugs. Everything else is in the category of "inspect this, inspect that". It's a good idea to change the ATF at 60K even though it is not required by Nissan. However, you have a 5-speed, so this suggestion does not apply.

Please replace your air filter too. Check your Owner's Manual. You will see it is required at 60K.

PCV valve and drive belts..>

These items usually get overlooked when tuning up the car.
The valve can get clogged with oil so replace it, cost is
about $6.
