My unibody frame is rusting at the lower rad core support

I just spent $250 to repair my unibody frame.

It was rusted at the center of the lower rad support, exactly where the engine mounts on. The frame was all bubbled out, I'm glad I noticed it - last thing I want is my engine dropping on the highway

I wish Nissan had a 10 year/unlimited miles warranty on rust.

Just venting, strange thing is the rest of the car is rust-free. None of the panels are rusting, nor is the underbody except for the scraped curb spots up front but that's normal. Strange!

I know this is an ancient post, but that part of my frame just rusted out completely...so the engine support has dropped about 2"...can this be repaired?

... To answer your question, yes it can be repaired. Its a lot of work. Do a search for lower radiator support, just search titles. You'll get plenty of threads

Hi guys,
I did search, and until i later refined my search queries this was the only thread I was able to find.

I've learned that it is repairable...though i'm now trying to find a shop in Toronto that can do it for me.

i got a shop to offer 630. then i did all the prep work(removal of everything front end) and got it to 300, shop around, more importantly go to a reputal body shop that knows our cars, sometimes cheap is better but for this i went to the best guy in town.
and i drove around with my support busted for 2 months and put 5k miles on it, if you do go that long make sure you get new mounts. cause mine were destroyed.
