Is there any cheap way to lower the car/stiffen the suspension so that it doesn't 'roll' or whatever it does.

BTW I'm getting my 18X8 Tantrums on Wednesday

What about a cheap drop? I was planning to do the RASB next month regardless. But I understand a stiff suspension really helps. I was thinking more in the lines of new shocks?

Tough to go cheap with a drop. The cheapest you can get away with is replacing just the springs (if your OEM shocks are in decent shape), but if you're not replacing shocks/struts at the same time, you really shouldn't lower more than 1.4" - 1.6" because you'll blow out your OEM struts in no time if you do.

Honestly, lowering isn't something to do "on the cheap." Save up & do it right - otherwise you're gonna have to make some serious compromises.

cutting stock springs is a no-no. cutting sport springs is ok, if you don't cut more than two coils. Anything more than that will cause the spring to lose it's structural integrety and could cause premature spring failure. If you do cut 1 or tow coils, expect a drop in height and ride quality. But the stiffness you will get will definitely tighten up your handling. I've had two coils cut on my eibachs for over 60k miles and no problems so far. It handles like a race car!
