Has anyone had to have a rear window replaced? Just curious as to what you paid as far as parts and labor.

 

I've had the little opera window replaced (break-in) for $123 P/L/T.

 

I've done the front driver window (actually the power window motor and regulator) by myself. I imagine the rear shouldn't be too difficult to do - just take out the door panel, unscrew the glass from the regulator, and pull out the glass. The dealer wanted to charge me $250-300 labor to do all that for the front, and I imagine it will be pretty close to the same for the rear because it should take the same amount of time.

 

I got the regulator from covenant for 79$ and fixed it myself, it was the rear left side.I was given an estimate of 55+79+130+tax to do it,Total about $290.These guys wanted $55 to tell me what was wrong with the window!.

Does most uinsurance companies have the side and rear windows covered under insurance for free replacemtns like the windshield? Comprehensive insurance is what I mean.
