Suggestions For Clear Corner Install
I installed clears today and what follows are some suggestions for installing them. I purchased them from Greg this past week, so I guess this pertains mostly to his latest batch. But may help someone who puchased them elsewhere.
Greg has a link for instructions:here
This link is helpful. But what I ended up doing is instead of using the mounting stud and washer I used a #10 X 3/4" wood/metal screw and metal washer. The mounting stud was too short to use.
Instead of pulling back the fender liner I took out the foglight to get the screw into the side marker. This I think makes it easier to line up the screw and the lense because you're not on your back going up underneath. Instead you're kneeling and can line up the light with the screw easier. You will need a stubby phillips screwdriver for this.
Finally, there is a little more room inside the drivers side fender than there is in the passenger side fender, so do the drivers side first.
After a few hours, a couple of trips to the Hardware Store and much thinking I was done. They look great and worth my $ and work.
Hope this helps someone,
Kmax

Good idea. I need to reinstall mine and figure I'll do it when it gets warmer. Maybe I'll use the wood screw too. I'm gonna also install side marker lights at that time so I may have the fender plastic out - I know that's overkill for the clears only, but w/ the side markers it'll make sense and make wiring a lot easier.

i installed mine from the inside as well. I removed that mounting studd and used a large screw in its place from the inside. That way you cannot just pop off the lense and steal them, rather you have to remove the fog light and go from inside. And let me tell you its a ***** gettin in there with even a mini-screwdriver.
