switches

I want to get about 2-3 switches that i want to setup them up on the interior area of the car near the driver side.

I need suggestions of where would be the best place to install these switches for a nice look, and also where is a good place to get nice toggle on/off switches?

thanks in advance.

Radio Shack always has a decent selection of switches, but if you want the most options, you'll need to go to your local full-fledged electronics store.

As for where to put them, I got a nice rocker switch for my aftermarket fogs and put it in the blank slot next to the dimmer switch behind the steering wheel. Took a little dremel work, but looks pretty good. If you don't have heated seats, you could put three switches where the switches for the seats would go. Even if you do have heated seats, you could still put one in between the two. For a novelty, you could put a small knife switch on the center of your dash. If you're really good with wires, you could mount some switches inside the pop-out tray onder your stereo head unit. Just some ideas for you.

yeah what he said.

I guess it depends on what the switches are for. If they are everyday use switches you want them someplace ergonomic(sp). Otherwise you might want to mount them someplace less obvious.

I've seen some one mount low profile switches to the top of the dashboard inside the bezel. they were just plain black switches, he lives in VA where Radar Dectors are illegal and he had a in dash radar dectecor so he wanted concealed buttons for it. He also used that same place for his glow kit and strobes. I will be mounting a hideaway consol in my armrest that will fold out and have my sneaky switches on them. Post some pics when you have it done.
