My Max Fixed

After that horrible accident a month and a half ago, my car was not totalled out and they managed to fix it for $9,600.

The entire left side was smashed and broadsided in, and they fixed everything back to normal, picture is attached.

hey what kind of damage did you have? that totalled 9,600 dollars? and does the car feel the same now that it's fixed as before the accident?

cuz i was just involved in an accident too.. some fool ran a red light perpedicular to me, and i didn't see him so I broadsided him going about 25 mph. Since he was moving sideways, my whole front end got bent sideways.. the worst thing is that transmission fluid leaked out.. it smelled really bad.. so there's probably transmission damage and maybe even the engine itself. The car was running after the impact, but it was really loud, almost like gears grinding, and it wouldnt go into gear. I shut it off pretty quickly so to not damage anything else..

I had the car towed to a shop and now the insurance is assessing the damange.. I know that if they fix it the car probably wont be the same ever again.. i'm just really ****ed off that the guy ran the red and I ruined my car.

Damages

Sorry to hear that bro,
I had only suspension and exterior damage. Luckily no engine damage here.

I got hit from an angle on the side. driver rear door, driver door, front fender- all smashed in. front driver wheel well knocked out, lower control arm bent, spindle damaged, strut destroyed. Windshield cracked. Door sill pushed in. Minor frame damage. Surprisingly my rim suffered nothing but cosmetic damage only.

After the repairs and alignment, car feels the same as it was before- got a new windshield out of the whole thing plus an extra rim as a full size spare, so I lucked out.

Good luck with your car and repairs.... Hate to hear of a damaged max.. hopefully it won't be a total loss

Re: Damages

In the last four years, my 97 SE got into four car accidents. One I lost control (straight road) and went into a rear end spin when it was snowing and the roads where horrible. The rest of the times was my dad, he does not drive my max no more! Anyway, I love the car but I'm starting to think this particular one is evil.

Car looks great!

Does the paint match perfectly? I'm surprised they didn't total it for $9600.
