How much to pay for spoiler?

I was a witness to a car accident where Nissan Maxima same color as mine was destroyed in the rear. The guy already gave this car for free to mechanic who is my friend. So basically he will be taking this car apart and sell parts separatelly (he is keeping whole front end since he has another maxima whose front is destroyed so he will build one maxima from those 2 cars). My guess all 4 doors will be for sale too.

My question is since my car and this car are same color DPO dark green and my car does not have spoiler and that car has spoiler. So how much I have to pay him to buy and install this poiler on my car? What else I should buy from this car? This car is SE and mine is GLE. SE does not have leather, just base SE with sunroof and premium wheels.

Thanks in advance!

If they are the same color and the same year, just switch the trunk lids. You have a spoiler and your friend still has a trunk lid.

Trunk lid is bended! Car is 1996 and mine is 1997. So basically trunk lid, bumper and driver side rear panel are destroyed, the rest of car is fine.

Mechanic wants $$ so I am asking around how much is not overkill?

Sorry bout that, didn't know. I bought a new factory style spoiler from a shop , it cost me 300 with paint and installation. This one is 6 years old, and the trunk is a total and he's got no use for it. So I would say 100 or under installed. If he knows what he's doing should take at the least an hour to install.

I bought an OEM Nissan spoiler painted black at the dealership for $300. The worst part is drilling 4 holes in your trunk lid.
Offer him $100 for the spoiler alone and install it yourself.

I got mine from ebay for 80 bucks, had it painted for 100, and put it on myself. I was skeptical about drilling holes in my trunklid, but just take your time. Measure twice, cut once, something like that. If he's your friend, he should give you the spoiler for a case of beer or something.

I watched the guy do mine. Alot of exact measuring and drilling. The rubber trunk bumpers have to come off. That is where one fo the screws have to go, and those holes have to be enlarged. If you do it yourself BE CAREFUL YOU GET ONE SHOT AT IT.

Mine came with these little plastic templates that you stuck in the screw holes. Line the spoiler up, tape down the little plastic thingys w/ masking tape lift spoiler, punch the template, drill, etc.,

Makes no difference, except he won't have a template. He's got to do it by eye and measuring. Good luck
