90,000 Check up

My car is almost at 90,000, no repairs at all yet. Do you guys recommend this checkup, how would it cost, and does anyone have a list of what it entails, allowing me to do it myself, thanks.

im approaching 90,000 too...yes it's a good idea to get your car checked cuz you are scheduled for a Major Service at 90...if you did the 60 and had it checked at 75 you should be ok but i wouldn't reccommend that do it yourself...have it serviced at a dealer or independent unless you know exactly what needs to be done. good luck!

Re: 90,000 Check up

I would suggest you can do it all yourself. I dont have my manual in front of me but you can do this yourself - Its not that big a deal. Change the air/fuel filters, check your belts, maybe check your battery and all your fluids....I bet you can do everything the manual requires at 90.

I agree. Depending on the condition of your car, everything is a DIY. Probably the hardest thing to do is the belts, and that's fairly easy. I'm going to be doing a 90K, too, and i'm probably going to spread out the work over a couple weekends because i don't have the attention span to sit in the garage all day anymore. But i think the dealer will charge $300-500 for the labor and i don't think that's necessary IMHO.

Cheers!
