Aladdin 2000 Car Alarm 5speed Remote Start

I was looking at getting an aftermarket car alarm w/remote start for my manual tranny max, now i said that i would only put in the remote start if i could find a safe one, and i think i have. I came across this system, its around $200, its called Aladdin 2000, its one of those 2way paging alarm, but the coolest thing about it is how you have to remote start the car w/ a manual transmission, here is what it says on the website:

FAQ:
How does it remote-start a standard transmission? Isn’t that dangerous?
A: No, our system is very safe. It’s a fail-proof system that assures that the car is left in neutral. When you exit the vehicle it stays running till you shut the door and arm the system. Any entries afterward require that the exiting process be repeated in order to remote start. If not, the remote-start function will not be allowed.

This means that the only way to remote start the car is if its left on when you exit the vehicle, thus you would have to leave the car in neutral w/ the ebrake up, u then close the door, press the button on the remote, it would then shut the car off and lock the doors. So now the only way the car could be started is if the car is in neutral. If anyone opens the doors before the remote start button is pressed, it automatically pulls the remote start sequence out of the loop so the car could not be started just in case someone puts the car in gear while u are not looking.

Heres the website http://www.gopme.com/product.html#Car , what do u guys think.

a frind of mine has the Alladin on his 5spd 3rd gen...sweet alarm indeed!! I'm looking into one too, how much are you selling it for, there are no prices on that page... I hope its under $200, most Aladdins go for around $250-275!

I ordered one about a week or two ago. It is a nice system...I have not had time to have it install yet. Finding someone that was willing to do it was a Bi**ch! I am taking it to him next week. I read the manual about 3 times and if its works like the manual says it is a Bad A$$ alarm. I dont know if you guys see the pictures of the remote, but I its is much much small than the pic. It is tiny!

Hey guys heres the deal, i spoke with a guy who is selling the international version of the alarm, its called innotek, its the same exact alarm as the aladdin 2000,
The differences between aladdin 2000 & innotek alarm:
All of the aladdin features +
1.Driver Paging (if someone is in the car and you are in a store the person can press a button and the alarm remote would beep you like a pager
2.Extended range (3/4)mile due to no FCC regulations
3.Interior Cabin Temp displayed on remote (with $45 sensor)
4.Automatic restart if car's battery drops too low where it won't start

The alarms have a 1-year warranty and the guy sells both aladdin and innotek alarms, he said that the brain on the innotek alarms are better then the ones on the aladdin, (less returns), if we have any problems he said just send them back to him and he will send out a new unit.

The seller's homepage is http://www.innotek.50megs.com/index.html
he is also the alarm on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1340722964

He said that if i can get 10 buyers he would sell the alarm for $130, if we get 20, it would be for $120. He seems to have good feedback on ebay as well (88+).

I will post this on group deal forum as well, just let me know guys. If you have any questions just ask me, and i will do my best to answer. If anyone needs I also have a wire diagram to install the alarm from autoloc.

I've seen the Aladdin mentioned before, but I had no idea it had remote start like that. The price is definitely right, but has anyone here actually installed one? I've never done an alarm install before, but I've wired tons of other things before so as long as the documentation is good I bet I could do it. Man too many cool mods and not enough money

Ok I am a little lost. My remote has the same symbol on the top, as the one on his web page is an a2000. Now in his picture, it has the same thing and has the Innotek written on the bottom, even the brain has the Aladdin symbol. What gives?

The innotek is the internation version of the aladdin (its from Korea), it has the ability to tell you the interior temp of the cabin on your car via the remote. Also the other options i indicated in my previous post.

The alarm also works with an automatic tranny, check out the website, (www.gopme.com) and look and the installation pdf doc. it shows how u install it in an auto or manual.

The guy told me that its the internation version with the additional options, are u sure on yours can get the cabin temp, driver paging, low battery automatic engine start. I've seen the US Version owners manual and on that one it shows those options but it has a * (asterik) next to them, then on the bottom of the page it said not available in us version.

or the Crimestopper CS900 from ebay for $60ish

with a little wiring, it can be made to work just as safely with two relays

the maxima comes stock with a neutral sensor to the ECU (I know which wire it is on my 3rd gen but I'm not sure about 4th gens, you'd have to check a FSM for that)
using this wire and a wire that is grounded when remote started (output from the CS unit), you can then wire that to 2 relays and into the hood input wire of the CS unit
it will act like the hood is open and wont allow the car to start
you will also have to have another output go to your clutch sensor wire to give power to it while trying to start but that's easy enough

not all that hard, but a little bit of work
