Well.. I wanna mod the hell out of the max I have a list of what I wanna do, I just have a few questions. Also can someone provide me with pricing and stuff.
Not in any particular Order.. but I want the max to have a serious kick in the butt over the next year!

As far as performance...
-Stillen high Flow Intake w/ K&N Air filter
-Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Crankshaft Pulley (UDP)
-Stillen Muffler (anything quieter that looks nicer?)
-Cattman Stainless Steel y-pipe
-Courtesy B Pipe
-maybe Don's VB Mod
-And perhaps an ECU

and of course rims/tires and the stillen bars....

Now here's my questions...

1. How much do you think ALL of those cost? Including installation?? I have a nice tax return and some graduation money coming up =)

2. How much HP would that all add? I'm unfamiliar with the B pipes gains, but thought I should add it due to the rest of the mods

3. How loud will the car be? I know the stillen exhaust is loud, but at about 2000-2500 RPM's will the car be to loud and ricey? What other exhaust besides stock can limit the noise?

4. Will don's VB mod still alow normal shifting under soft acceleration? Or will it still drive up the RPM's even when being light footed, also how does it affect Overdrive?

5. What does the ECU exactly do? And how much of a gain?

6. Basically I want to know how drasticly an everyday ride would be destroyed due to wanting to add some HP.. would these mods kill my max's comfort? Thanks.. ~Jeff

 

Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-Z.... Huh? What? Sorry, dude, too many questions! Multiple warhead, y' know? It would take someone an hour to answer all that...

 

5th gen anymore?I don't think it is much of a upgrade thats why I am sticking with the 4th gen too.Sorry to many questions for me but the ride will get noisy and a lot stiffer which in my mind is far more comfortable then stock.
I have spent about $8000 on mods this year look at my sig 8K will get you all that stuff.

 

Wheee.

1) .. (from the bottom up) 500 + 450 + 300 + 300 + 200 + 200 + 200.. roughly uh, round $2500-4000 installed if you get it all from the internet.

2) +40-60hp I'd guess.. B-pipe gains aren't large I'm told.

3) Stillen Muffler? Loud. Try HKS if you want a quieter one. The Y-pipe and the intake are the only mods there that will affect sound other than the muffler.

4) Dunno, I'm under the impression that it just quickens the shift. It will make your luxuries slow-*** shift go to a quicker one. Under WOT it will smack your head on the back of the seat =) .. Under normal conditions, it isn't too bad.

5) ECU is approximately 5-25hp gain under different conditions/RPM's. What's it do exactly? If I knew, I'd be programming them =)

6) Shouldn't .. The air filter, y-pipe and muffler (especially the muffler) will add noise, but unless it's WOT, you can live with it. And when it IS WOT, you'll be going "ohhh yeah." .. The VB mod will affect the luxuriousness of the shifts, so if you're concerned with that, go to a meet and try to find someone with a VB mod so you can take a ride with em. If not, do the ECU instead.
