While your here, one other thing. Did you connect it with a piece of hose or something or just remove the hose using hose clamps or something then reconnect the breather somehow? If so how did you do it?

I have been under the hood for the past week now(cleaning up the engine bay) and I have found no problems or even any oil spots on the filter, still looks brand new. No problems with the engine either.

It was pretty easy, just yanked the hose off the valve cover and stored it on the shelf. Then wiggled the breather over the metal hose(came with the little hose clamp). Couple of minor things though: 1. I know there are different sizes of those little breathers and a Honda one would be too small. Just make sure you get the right size. 2. The wires are right in the way, so you have to bend the metal brackets a little, and they dont have much slack. Its a little annoying, at least on my car.

Im going to run to home depot real quick, and if this works like i think it will, i will post some pics...By the way...thanks for the help!
No Problem, I am just glad somebody found it useful

That must be my problem. I have the wrong size. No wonder why the opening is like 1/4 the size of where it is supposed to fit onto. Does anyone know where I can get one that fits the maxima? A web site or something maybe?

I did this mod and it worked great, the breather filter does whistle but it's no big deal. I bought my breather filter from autozone and it fit perfect, hope this helps.

After having it a while I really like it, feel safe about its construction and wont be spending 75 bucks for a much nicer looking one. I will be happy to entertain any questions if anyone is interested or if you think it looks stupid. I do have some more pics if anybody wants them. Peace..
