I've heard some really good things about the "SMC" STS.

I think www.courtesyparts.com has it available.

nopi has the pacesetter for $55. it's uner the 95,96 maxima but it's all the same. There is an ebay auction for the stillen shifter right now. I have the Pacesetter, just have to install it.

I think they are backordered. I tried to get one a few weeks ago.

I ordered mine 3 weeks before it came. I looked on the bottom of the UPC code and it said it was manufactuered 3/20/02...which meant it was made 3 days before I received it. THe one little question I ran into was getting the delrin ball down to the location you are suppose to get it too. You have to screw it through the top threads, but then you hit a bend. I called Pacesetter and they said you just have to wack it was a mallet. I was nervous, but a few few good wacks and I was past the bend.

Great Priced Shifter

I saw on an Ebay auction an OBX shifter for $49 and when it arrived i noticed the sticker said it was for a Sentra.. I figured what the hell, and i installed it anyway(the shifter is the same for 95-99 sentras and 95-99 max's) i have to say it works Great w/ no probs-so if u need to budget ur money OBX is just as good as stillen's

BOYCOTT STILLEN AND THEIR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES

Whichever STS you buy, get an adjustable one.

The SMC & Pacesetter are both adjustable (for height). -Not sure about the OBX.

Unless yours is tattered or you just want something more snazzy, stay with OEM. Put your $ toward a nice shift **** and the STS. If you replace the shifter boot, then you also should spend the $ on a matching e-brake boot, etc, etc.

See where I'm going w/ this? The $ can run away from you in a hurry if your not careful. . .ultimately up 2 u tho - I've never bought one b4, sorry.

No kits with those 3 specific pieces exists...

however:

I have

ralco short throw shifter. (there is a write up on here somewhere, and its very good, especially for how cheap it is.)

go with any of the aftermarket shift boots, just depends on your style n such

and there is a company called "flossy" that will tap & die a custom shift **** to any specifications, so get the ralco, figure out the threading, hit up flossy for some buttery custom ish and rap it up with smooth a$$ italian leather on the boot... cause you know you're ballin out of control.
