Problem With 95' SE ????

Alright, my buddy got a 95' Maxima SE 5spd last Wed, and its been sitting in his driveway ever since because he has to wait for insurance to kick in, but hes been running every soo often. Today we were there and he started it up and ALOT of water was shooting out of the exhaust at high RPM's . After he got out I stept in so he can see all the water and it was alot...enough to make a nice size puddle. After the water settled out of the exhaust we let it idle and noticed the check engine light on...then the car shut off and still wont start...We ran the code (0103 came up)(engine coolant temperature sensor or circuit fault) after I turned the check engine light off it still wont start...Anyone experience anything like this ?? What did you do ?? Thanks guys

Hey, I saw that no one replied, so I decided to. It is hard to say what is wrong with the car. That certainly sounds like something is really wrong though. If you can't figure it out, I would just tell him to take it to a shop to have it looked at.

Did you happen to check the carfax report for flood damage?
