When it really comes down to it, you can use almost any K&N filter...

So, I'm looking to create my own pop-charger...and figured I could bolt on an adapter (that I build) for a particular K&N filter.

I've been desperately trying to get a part number for the filter that everyone uses for the JWT and Stillen POPs, but, no luck...

When you think about it...so long as the filter and the adapter fit in the engine bay, there really is no standard filter size.

Am I correct? Thoughts?

i think so. i was leaning towards what you are doing. the difference is the adapter. also, look into getting a velocity stack cone filter.

K&N has a section to figure out the correct filter size on their web site.

That's how I came to my conclusion...so long as the fit is air-tight, then it really shouldn't matter which filter to use...

Thanks!

Well, the Frankencar guys got some pretty big HP improvements by using a huge filter from a GS400 intake.

makes sense, larger surface area=more air comming into the engine. more air = but what is the point that too much =
