#1. My internal light doesn't work, and I checked the fuse and the light bulb. Both are fine - what should I do next?

#2. I have read some posts about the light behind the climate controls temp. up/down thing in my 95 max, saying that it cannot be replaced. The 1st owner of my car said she took it to our nissan dealer and they said it couldn't be replaced. I just wanted to check before I gave up on it, you all haven't found any like trick or whatever to getting a new light behind it?

Are you talking about the electronic climate control? If so, I got all of my lights out. They are very tiny and they sit in a little plastic connector. There are four of them if I remember correctly. It's not hard to do. My dealer told me that the lights run about $7 EACH.

you had all your out too?? all mine are out except for the actual lcd display. that and the light that is behind the cigarette lighter and ashtray. if these are all replacable, do you think you could find out the bulb numbers? and how did you get behind the climate control to change the bulbs.

thanks

If you have the 95 with the manual climate controls I've written a set of instructions on how to replace these bulbs. Which do you have?

mo,max,

I would be interested in those instructions. I installed a new head unit last week and just noticed that my red hazard,
rear defrost, and all climate control position lights are now out. I might have missed a connector when putting the dash back together but they do not work now. A/C still lights and temperature select still lights also but the above mentioned items do not light up.

Re: Climate Lights

I would like to see those instructions. Would you please post the link, or email me the instructions? My email is ehylee@ucdavis.edu

My rear defogger switch is not lit anymore. The orange light comes on, but the little symbol on the switch does not turn on at night.

To sferna1, hlh0501

I found the instructions by searching the forum archives. The thread is located here and the instructions here as a word document. Props to Adidas_Boy for the great instructions, I'm going to fix my dash lights after work today.

Peace,

Electronic CLimate Control lights out

I have a 95 SE and it has the Automatic Climate control system and tonight all the lights went out around the LCD read out, I can't tell what controls what, I have to hunt for the buttons but everything functions correctly. Also My hazard light switch is out. Has anyone successfully fixed this and if so please advise me in how to do it. Thanks in Advance and for helping me cure this problem.

I have replaced my hazard and defrost switch bulbs ...

they are simply 12V mini lamps. You can get a pack from Radio Shack for like $2.50 or $3.00. The box has 2 bulbs. The part number is 72119 and Box# 272-1092c. Let me know if you need some more help.

If you still need the part number for the automatic climate control bulbs, here it is. They usually go for $8.50 but I told the dealer that another nissan dealer quoted me $3.50. That's the price I got. Hope this helps.
