O2 Sensor help
Ok so I need to replace my rear O2 sensor. I heard there was a recall on the sensors, anyone know for sure? The dealer wants $136 for it and the auto parts store sells bosh sensors for about $85. Any suggestions on what to do and has anyone replaced their rear O2 sensor before? Should I get the cat warm/hot to get it loose easier?
Thanx

I have replaced the rear o2 sensor,It's not very hard. you'll get your hands burnt if the car is warm. There is a plate covering the sensor, it's held by 4 bolts.Chances are that the bolts will be rusted and difficult to remove, try not to break them.Use a good rust remover or liquid wrench to remove them.Once the plate is removed the sensor can be removed easily.

Also, make sure it's the right one. For my 97 there are three different O2 sensors, I'm not sure what year you have but make sure it's correct.
also, when you put the new one in, coat the threads with Anti-sieze, or you'll never get it back off. (I learned this the hard way, and it's a costly mistake.)
