That not too much. I have seen prior post with other Max drivers with outrageous miles on recent models. I ONLY have 160K on my 95 SE 5M and just now replacing my clutch with the ACT. I have not had ANY major problems.

The 95 SE and the 4Runner get the majority of the miles.

Whew!
After just purchasing a 95 Max a little over a week ago with 105K miles on it, this thread makes me feel beter.
The car is a GLE with Sunroof and it is in pristine showroom condition. You would never guess it had any miles at all, not to mention 105K!
I always knew Max's lasted well. I also own a 91 Sentra SE-R with 115K (bought it in 91) and that thing has been unbelievably reliable and bullet proof. As a matter of fact, this Max is my 4th Nissan in a row.
I just needed something larger to haul family friends in and this 95 GLE just fell into my hands. I knew the car since it was new. The owners were customers of mine and I had worked with their son-in-law as well. This GLE has never seen frost, snow or ice. Rarely rain. Garaged for 7 years and only has highway milage. Never Smoked in, no door dings of any kind. Unbelievable. I was in the market for a NEW car, but took this offer up instead.
So far, to individualize the car, in a week, I have put factory fogs on, diamond clear front bumper lenses, chrome rear Altezza's, and a Sunroof deflector.
It always had Quaker State 5W30 oil in it. I switched to Castrol GTX. I always had great luck with Castrol. Dont know if that mattered much, but I always thought all Nissans came from the factory with Castrol oil.
But anyway, I am shopping for Wheels/tires and thinking of a spoiler. I cant deicide to go with 16 or 17 wheels. I do alot of highway travel and dont want too low a profile tire for the fact a bent wheel is easily done on Oklahoma crappy highways/interstates. I know, I have bent two wheels with my 50 series tires on my classic SE-R.
Enuff rambling on. I just hope I never regret buying a vehicle with so many miles already on it. I just could not turn down this gorgeous 95 GLE!

I have a 97 with 122,000 miles on it, i don't feel as bad, cause i won't be puttin on 48,000 in the next year.
People have always rated the max as a car that will run a long time for us. Some people have seen almost the 300K mark with them. Makes me glad knowing that I dont really have to worry about everything crapping out on me soon. With basic maintenece and treating it right these cars can outlast what many of tus plan on having them for.

Neat picture of your car on Lombard street! I'm from SF but haven't driven Lombard since the first day I learned how to drive in a blue Corolla almost 7 years ago!

Max for the long haul
My max has 217K, but still run's beautiful, even though I push the engine with the y-pipe on. I grew up with Max's, prior to my current ride, my parent's had a 3rd gen which had 294K before it was written off in an accident
. Prior to that we had a 2nd gen with 394K
on it when someone actually bought it from us, the thing just wouldn't die! The Max engine is unbelievable, no wonder their rated as one of the top ten engines every year.
