CRUNCH goes the Maxima..
Well, I had my first wreck with the Maxima today.
I was pulling out of the school parking lot and the car in front of me stopped (a REALLY REALLY old Isuzu Trooper) and I didn't. Busted my corner light and dented my hood/fender. The Trooper wasn't damaged at all. I have to have my hood and fender completely repainted to the cost of $600. Sound fair? I went to the Nissan dealer's body shop and they wanted $800. My family has used the first place twice before and had good results so I will drop it off Monday. Below is a pic..

Aww...
Dude the good people at the ORG are here for emotional support man. Call me night or day if you want to talk about it. I hear your pain, best of luck with the repair. Was it a girl driving it?

I'd be thrilled
Some )*(#&(%!#$%()@ hit the backend of my Maxima last weekend.
For a new rear deck lid, spoiler, bumper and 2 tail lights, and
paint, the total bill is $2,710.89. Thankfully my insurance covers
but still, that's approaching ridiculous. The real bummer to me
is that I had just finished the last of my mods in mod frenzy, a
Cattman CAI, at 6am on Friday and this happened at around 7pm on
Saturday.
A good paint job isn't cheap but it's also invaluable. I went to a
few of the shops I had received recommendations on. The shops that
did good work were more than happy to let me view some of their
finished products. That's the best way to shop for body/pain work
in my opinion.
Cheers!

The worst part was that I had just saved up the money to buy some 97-99 5-spoke rims and tires and now one second of not paying attention sticks me with the sawblades for a while.

Good luck with your repair.
These maxima's are made of plastic. I went into a rear spin while the weather was bad and got into an accident. The whole chasy shifted and I'm not even talking about the damage. I bought most parts online or from people. I.E. lights, fender, grill etc..
