OK, I've read through previous posts about clearing the air bag blinking light and before I take my car to the dealer I thought I would ask a more detailed question.
Last weekend while switching out the stereo in my car I followed the haynes manual too closely and actually listened when it said disconnect the air bags (I have a 97, no side airbags) but I listened half-assed. I only did the driver's because thats is where I was sitting and the passenger harness was hard to get at. I also didnt' disconnect the battery. As soon as I undid it the light started blinking but I wasn't worried because of what I did, but when I reconnected it, it continued to blink. And when I followed the dome light seven times in ten seconds ECU reset method, it didn't. I've plugged/unplugged the harness a bunch of times with no success. I hate to go to the dealer because they always rip me off, but... I bought mine new in nov 97 and it has 59K miles, so its covered by the powertrain warranty right? Has someone checked to make sure this is covered? SOrry for the long post, thanks.
