There have been a lots of posts on this topic (do a search and you will see)

I like the APC 100W bulbs the best, but some people tell me you need to upgrade the wiring harness for them (I didn't).

The PIAAs are the most popular choice and would be the easy risk free option for an upgrade as they keep stock wattage..

Eurolites

I have Eurolites and I like them. They are like $15.00 a pair on ebay. #9004

I've got the hyper industries 80/100 watt bulbs with no wiring upgrade. never use my highs though. If someone with PIAA's speaks up now, then you'll really be confused. Pick one of them, I'm sure you'll be happy, we all are.

and don't forget Sylvania Cool Blues

The "Blue" in the name is kind of misleading. They are not blue and they are not an imitation HID bulb. However, they are good bulbs for ~$20/pair. They are much whiter than the stock bulb and have a real nice high beam. Sylvania has been in the bulb business for a long time, so I trust the longevity of their products. I hate having bulbs burn out after only a few months. I have bought so many of the so called "fancy" bulbs and they always seem to burn out quickly.

The PIAAs are nice too, but kind of pricey. I have heard many people comment on how much they like them. But I have also heard many people complain that they have only lasted a few months. It would suck if $65 bulbs didn't last. Even with the complaints, I am thinking of asking Santa to bring me some PIAAs. I hope the short-lasting bulbs are a thing of the past.

Get Narva Rangepower 9004s. Whiter and brighter than PIAAs, and for a lot less money. I've had my pair for well over a year now.

I dunno bout this one...

I would have to say that the PIAA's are a good buy. I would agree with one of the other people on here. I've had LUKS Hyper White<--sucked. Lasted like 2 weeks. I've had the Sylvania's. I didn't really enjoy those either. I finally splurged and got the Super White Platinum PIAA's for the head and fog bulbs. I've had them for about a year now. One of the fog bulbs went out, so I just ordered a new one. I can see a vast improvement. I don't think I'll have any other choice in a bulb. Now if I can just got those darn 194, 1156, and 1157 bulbs to look right. That's another story. Any ideas??

The Narvas are as white as can be, and way brighter than the yellowish stock bulbs. They are stock wattage, so none of the wiring harness BS. I currently don't have any pics of them.

I cant remember the name of the bulbs I put in. Got them brand new and for nothing from my buddy. They are the Xenon ones with the blue glass, and they are 80/100. Way brighter than stock. Only problem with these lousy USA Spec headlamps... most of my bright light gets diffused up into the trees and other drivers eyes. Wish there was something I could do about that.

Brighter headlights

I'd sure like to know this too. What is the brightest/whitest bulb you can use without having to upgrade your harnesses?

real HIDs =) only 35 watts, so the stock wiring can handle it.
