Vibration at Idle
Vibration at Idle
I have a 98 with 36,000 miles on it and I noticed some vibration when I have my car in Drive and am stopped at idle. I think the idle is too low. Can the idle be adjusted? Does it normally have to be adjusted after certain amount of miles?

sometimes when the car is in drive and you're stopped there is vibration... shift it into neutral and it'll go away right?
I dont think a slight vibration is anything to worry about... but then again I am no expert in maxima autos :0
Mine used to do the same, but after putting some Valvoline Fuel System cleaner and then cleaning most of the outside of the engine, it's hardly noticible. Maybe after I do the BG Fuel Induction & Engine Flush, along w/ a tune up, my white max should run almost like day 1.
I noticed the same thing a few days ago. I got a 98 Max with like 35,000 kms and when I come to a stop, the steering wheel started to vibrate, moreso than usual. I drove up a meter or two, and come to another stop, and same thing! Vibration at idle. After, I took it around to about 60 km/h (Sorry, I don't know the conversion to miles!) and the vibration stopped when I was idling. Dunno why it did that? Hasn't happened again since that.
