O2 sensors

Anyone ever tried just removing one, cuttin the wires and see what happens? I have a 99SE with a Greddy SP, it had a hole for an O2 sensor behind the cat in it, my car didn't have a sensor there so i welded it shut. Now someone wants to buy it and they actually have a sensor there, lucky me...anyone tried just snippin the wires...what would the ECU think?

SES would probably kick out... That O2 monitors the status of the catalytic converters.
