Help with H&R spring install!!!

I'm installing the front H&R's with AGX's now on a 98 SE 5spd.

Which way is up for the spring? Both ways seem to seat ok. One end of the H&R spring is a liiittttllle farther away from the previous coil.... but otherwise identical.

That would lead me to believe that the printing should go upside down since the stock spring

Is your H&R printing on the spring rightside up or upside down?

And before I get to the back... what about there?

Thanks

I dunno about H&R's, but for my B+G's, I put them in so the closely spaced coils are on the top. And the B+G lettering is right side up.. I think that's right, because the stock springs also had the closely spaced coils on the top.

Thanks...

The H&R's in the front don't have any closely stacked coils... I'm going to try letters up, it seems to fit ok...

I think I read in another post that the lettering should be right side up. I would do a search to confirm it though.

I installed my rear Konis about 6 or 7 months ago and the spring would not sit correct on the perch which looks like a cup. I read someone posted that the closer coils go on top, so whomever said that is correct. At first the spring would not fit in the perch so I placed the perch upside down which I did not know I was placing the spring upside down. I later read the directions again just to find out that I did it wrong, so this Sat I fixed the perch that it sits on and found also found out that the spring, I installed upside down, thats why it did not fit in the Koni cup perch. But now is a perfect snug fit.
