Lowering my MAX

What's the lowest you guys have went without a camber kit. Will 1.5 or 1.7 be ok with 18 inch rims. I am considering coilovers. What are the ranges they can adjust to?

No need for camber...

...2" or lower you'll need a kit. Coilovers are usually 1-3" I think. Maybe 3.5".

Most coils will drop down 3 or so. I have about a 1 or 1.5 without camber problems. I have Ground Control Coils and I will drop them more now that I am putting on my 17" rims back on.

I paid $400 for the coils, and $400 for the AGX's and $200 to put them all in.

(Note: I had the AGX's when they first came out...so I paid more then I should have. The coils I needed right away..again price is higher)

Since you have 245's, no camber kit, and no alignment, are your tires wearing unevenly? I have 245's, Intrax springs, and I got an alignment awhile ago, but my inner sides of the front tires are wearing a lot faster than the outside. I'm thinking of going to 235's or maybe even 225's and sacrifice ride comfort if I come to find out that the 245's are going to wear out faster than the others.

No wearing out on the inside. I only had two alignments ever since I lowered my car. I cut a coil and lowered it even lower and no camber kit. I did however installed one and it made a loud snapping noise and the bolt came out of place. To correct the camber problem what I did was loosen both bolts that hold the front shocks located right above the brakes, pulled on it very hard and tighten the 17MM bolt. Thats is all I did. I dont have inner wear at all.
