Southwest AutoWorks and 98-99 Rev Indiglos :)

I ordered the reverse indiglos from Alex @ Southwest Autoworks, and I was kind of skeptical that they would be 98-99 Reverse Indiglos with the Digital ODO and all, I had gotten burned once on E-bay with them.

I received the package yesterday, and sure enough, they were deifinetly for the 98-99 and they were definitely Reverse Indiglos. I am very pleased with the looks of the guage faces, hope to have them installed soon. Quality seems much higher than that of other Guages I have seen. I currently own Initial K Indiglos, and had ordered another set of Rev. Indiglos on Ebay a couple of months back.

The font was not OEM, but I actually like it, they don't say anything dumb on the guages like "Racing Fuel Only" there is the manufacturer name on the Speedo, on the bottom in small letters, big enough to be seen, I don't think that part lights up at night though, and definitely not too big as to annoy people (at least the average person anyways). I meant to snap some digipics, but my camera is out of batteries. I will try to snap some after they re-charge.

So anyone wanting 98-99 Reverse Indiglos, call Alex, he is cool to chat with, and definitely wants to help out Maxima owners get their parts. He even walked out to his car to answer questions for me on the guages when I was trying to decide whether to take the chance on them or not. I really was not convinced they were for the 98-99... I have never seen these things before...ANYWHERE.

Well enough on guages... sorry about the long post.. this is not dealer feedback. It is more of a porduct announcement, I don't know how many people are aware of these. My great experience with SWA was just an added bonus.

I ordered some 98-99 indiglos. The screws didn't line up correctly, they were a little too high, and there was no hole punched for the little stub that holds the temperature needle when cold. It worked with some minor hole punching, but there are definately minor differences between the 98-99 SE and GXE/GLE gauge layout.

However, I have not seen any reverse indiglos for the 98-99 model years. Can you take a close-up picture and blow it up so I can inspect the gauges up close to see if they'd work on my SE?

I am not sure if they will work with the SE's

What I am able to determine is that they will require a hole or something be punched in order for installation. But it is definitely for the 98-99 with the digital ODO. Looking at my guages vs. I999Maximagirls (99 SE) guages when I was paying attention a couple of months ago I didn't notice a diffence in the guages other than the obvious color issue.

All in all I will deal with having to punch a hole for the reverse indiglos.

Thank you for your business Delio. I told ya they would work . As far as we know, they will work on SEs, but I am not 100% positive, as I cannot remember if we've sold them in the past or not. They are, in fact, higher quality than both Initial K and the other junkers ( )I've seen come from e-bay, so if you guys are interested, we have more coming into stock as of Monday. They are $69 + shipping (Delio got the first trial price, so it was cheaper for him)
Thanks
Alex

I am in hour 13 of what has been a brutal day at work. So prolly tommorrow night. Sorry for the delay, but job takes precedence.

Alex... I was looking at them again this morning... I am REALLY impressed with the quality. I can't wait to slap them in.

Re: Tommorrow

Yeah definately post close-up pictures when you can, Delio.

The guys at my speed shop said I got cheap ones (got them off ebay for $25) and they fit like crap. That's why I want to know if yours would fit the SE. If they fit well then I will definately grab em Alex.

Delio sidewinder740 wants to know if they will fit an SE. Be a pal and install them in my car instead. That way there will be no guessing and you will be helping out everyone else that has an SE and is unsure

I had been debating on ordering these from southwest auto for quite a while..but there were no posted pics on the web page, and I couldnt get anymore info on them really. Well I'm glad someone finally got some and confirmed what sounds like pretty good quality.
As a side note, Im pretty sure the 98-99 GXE and SE differ in the fact that the GXE temp and gas gauge needles face INWARDS towards one another, and the SE needles both face to the left.

no. the 95-97 needles should be the ones that face inward towards each other while all models 98-99 have the gas gauge facing right. *i think*

What do reverse indiglo's look like? I want to do something with my interior lighting since you can't replace those weird stock bulbs.

OK OK

Pics are up... I dunno, I must have still been half asleep this morning when I snapped them. Sorry for the lack of clarity, still trying to tweak this digicam to get the best combo of quality and pic size. Anyways, here is a few shots... and trust me the real things look alot better, I will try to get better pics tonite.

If anyone has any particular shots they are looking for, just ask, I know I have to get nicer pics for Alex. I promised him...
